HUTUKARA

The Yanomami people are an indigenous group that lives isolated from the main Brazilian population, in the heart of the Amazon forest. In the last years, they are at the hands of gold mining cartels that are degrading their land, using violence, and bringing diseases. But people and government still don’t listen to their cry for help.

To raise awareness and bring visibility to the Yanomami fight for survival, we created HUTUKARA. A parade with 26 chapters, a live audience of 100,000 people and TV coverage that reaches nearly 250M people in Brazil and beyond, crashing the biggest spectacle on the planet: the Brazilian carnaval.
